Data Deletion Instructions

You can ask Shopinzip Inc (GrowingWhale) to delete your data at any time. This page explains how, for data from Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp (Meta), Google, AI clients and any other connected app.
Option 1: Delete inside GrowingWhale (fastest)
- Sign in at studio.growingwhale.ai.
- To remove one connected app, go to Settings → Connected Apps and click Disconnect next to it. This revokes our access and queues that app's data for deletion.
- To delete everything, go to Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. Only the account owner can do this.
Option 2: Remove GrowingWhale from Facebook
- In Facebook, go to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites.
- Find GrowingWhale and click Remove.
- This stops our access to your Meta data. To have the data we already hold deleted, also use Option 1 or Option 5 below.
Option 3: Remove Google or other connected access
- Google: go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, select GrowingWhale and click Remove access.
- Any other connected service: remove GrowingWhale in that service's connected-apps settings, or click Disconnect in Settings → Connected Apps.
This revokes our access token right away. We then delete the data we cached from that service within 30 days, unless you kept it in your own records, such as an appointment you created.
Option 4: Disconnect an AI client
To stop Claude or another AI client from accessing your workspace through our MCP server, disconnect it in Settings → Connected Apps, or remove the GrowingWhale connector in your AI client's settings. Either way, its access token stops working immediately.
Option 5: Email us
Email privacy@growingwhale.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". Include your account email and, if relevant, your Facebook Page, Instagram account or Google account.
- We confirm receipt within 10 days.
- We verify that you control the account email before deleting anything.
- We complete deletion within 30 days of verification, then backups are overwritten within 35 days.
If a business that uses GrowingWhale has your data
If you're a customer, lead or visitor of a business that uses GrowingWhale, that business controls your data. Please contact it first. If you write to us, we forward your request to the business within 10 days and help it respond.
Team members
- If you leave a team, the account owner removes your access. Your sign-in profile is deleted, but content you created belongs to that business and stays in its workspace.
- To delete your own sign-in profile, use Option 5.
What we delete and when

In total, your data is gone from all our systems within 65 days of a deletion, or 95 days when an export window applies.
What we can't delete or may keep
- Content already published elsewhere. Posts, comments, review replies and messages already sent to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Google or other platforms stay there. Delete them on those platforms.
- Data held by AI providers and AI clients. Our AI providers may keep inputs for a limited period to monitor for abuse, then delete them. AI clients you connected keep your conversations under their own policies.
- Records we must keep: billing and tax records (up to 7 years), security logs (up to 12 months), consent and opt-out records (5 years), and records needed for legal claims or legal holds.
- Anonymized statistics that no longer identify you.
